How to Get Here
All prices mentioned are in USD.
The nearest airport is Puerto Plata (code: POP). There are flights from Canada, USA East Coast, Europe. From there it is about a 15 minute taxi ride, standard price $25. We can organise a friendly taxi to be waiting for you on arrival (cost is $20).

Next closest is Santiago de los Caballeros (code: STI). This is about 1.5 hours drive in daylight, 2 hours at night (different route). A taxi will cost between $100 or more, depending on time of day or night and number of passengers.

Santo Domingo, the capital, and its airport (SDQ) are on the south coast, the other side of the island. Depending on timing, you can take a taxi into Santo Domingo for a few dollars and catch a long-distance bus (Caribe Tours or Metro Bus) (bus cost about $8) to Sosua. These take between 3 and 4.5 hours. The last bus leaves around 4pm, otherwise you need a hotel overnight. Alternatively a taxi from the airport to Sosua will cost between $200 and $250, taking about 2.5 hours.

Finally Punta Cana in the south-east corner of the country - the flights may be cheaper, but it is a long way away. Taxi for about $400 for 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take three buses and a short taxi ride via Santo Domingo, taking all day, and costing maybe $40, but this may also involve an overnight stay at extra cost.

If you are arriving for the first time, and maybe thinking about a hire car - DON'T. Driving here is chaotic and dangerous. Get to know the country first.
Oasis in Sosua, Calle Wolfgang Mozart 1, 57000 Sosua, Prov. Puerto Plata, Republica Dominicana

Locally it is also known as "la calle de la junta electoral" as the voting office is at the other end of the street.
Directions:
Find the City Hall (ayuntamiento). Stand in front of it, looking across the street. You see a vacant lot then three white buildings. Those buildings are Condos Dominicanos - home to Oasis in Sosua. The entrance is in the next street, Calle Wolfgang Mozart, formerly Calle Proyecto.
